Ethan Fernando Ellis – a United States citizen who was abducted by his non-custodial mother, Carla Velasco, on October 17, 2009 – has been located in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
Reunited After 3.5 Years, But Still Not Home
Ethan and his father, Fife Ellis, reunited briefly on April
18, 2013, at the Palacio de Justica in Cochabamba, Bolivia. Ethan remembered no English and spoke only in Spanish, which Fife has learned in order to communicate with his son. The two spent about 90 minutes conversing, viewing pictures and recalling happy memories of Ethan's friends, neighbors, pets and toys from America. Fife continues to petition the Bolivian government for a legal solution that will bring Ethan home.
Fife sincerely asks for you to please contact him if there is anything you can do to raise awareness of Ethan's wrongful abduction or to influence the Bolivian government to return Ethan to his home country and his custodial parent.
